Six generations dedicated to the care of wine, to the passion for the work well done, to the close monitoring of the vineyard. A long history for the oldest winery in Rueda that has managed to adapt to the new times respecting the legacy yielded by more than a century of experience. The wine is created in the vineyard. It is the grape that marks the splendor of a Sanz Wine.
Back in 1870, a family from La Seca, known as the Donatos, believed in the still uncertain possibilities of their land for the production of white wines, which were born of the native and almost unknown strain called Verdejo
On January 12, 1980, the Rueda Denomination of Origin was created, consecrating the quality and the peculiarity of white wines made with a unique variety in the world. Vinos Sanz, as the oldest winery in the region, joins this common impulse with the construction of a new winery in Rueda, providing it with the most advanced wine technology of the moment for the sake of a higher quality wine.
Nestled in the municipality of La Seca, heart of the DO Rueda, this estate is one of the most important and beautiful of the region, welcoming some of the oldest vines of Viura, Verdejo and Sauvignon Blanc of the whole denomination.
