On the outskirts of Barcelona, inside a small Spanish fishing village situated on a coastline called The Golden Shore (Costa Dourada), Gin Mare is distilled in a small 19th century chapel. Gin Mare leads a new gin category of Mediterranean tastes and culture.
For the distillation process they use premium barley to create the base, and iconic Mediterranean botanicals to add flavor and character; basil from Italy, Thyme from Greece, rosemary from Turkey and citrus from Spain. Each of the botanicals gets its own individual distillation process before they are joined together in creating Gin Mare.
The word “Mare” weighs heavily throughout Mediterranean culture and stands for the sea and values such as the love of gastronomy and relaxed lifestyle. Over the years Gin Mare won international spirit awards between them best gin in its category in 2010.
